The Seaman/ Nicholls Cup were held on 7th June at the Six Villages Sports Centre.
The top eight players are invited to attend; it is run on two groups of four with no seedings.
Seaman Cup
In Group 1, Ritchie Venner, Andrej Lasota, Gary Wilson and Peter Bartrum. Ritchie won the group by winning all his games, Andrej came second although he lost to Richie 7-11 in the fifth.
In Group 2, Helshan Weerasinghe, Da Shau Zhang, Nigel Eckersley and Wesley Bush-Harris. This was a very close group with the result being decided by count back. The winner was Da Shau Zhang and Wesley runner up.
In the semi finals Ritchie beat Wesley 11-7, 11-7, 11-7, whilst Da Shau Zhang beat Andrej Lasota 11-5, 11-7, 4-11, 6-11, 11-6.
In the final Ritchie beat Da Shau Zhang 11-8, 11-8, 11-9.
Nicholls Cup
In Group 1, it was Christine Wicks, Chelsea Furnival, Yolanda King and Teresa Bennett. Yolanda won all her games; Chelsea came 2nd beating all but Yolanda.
Group 2 consisted of Sheila King, Rose Rainton, Sally Hughes and Lisa Standen. Rose won the group winning all her games, Lisa came 2nd on count back between the other three.
In the Semi finals Yolanda beat Lisa 11-7, 11-6, 11-6 and Rose beat Chelsea 9-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-5.
In the final Rose beat Yolanda 11-6, 12-10, 11-7 to retain her title.
