Crawley Community Table Tennis Club is calling for new players as it prepares to re-launch itself this September at its Holy Trinity School base.
New, top quality tables have been purchased to bring the Club up to 16-table capacity and the hall's lighting has been upgraded to ensure that it retains its status as the premier venue for the sport in the town.
As well as hosting England top-100 level players such as Paul Carter and Mayur Majithia in its teams the club's programme also accommodates junior and adults from beginner standard upward.
Sessions include:
Tuesday evening adult (14+) practice, 7.30-9.30pm
Tuesday evening junior (8-13 year olds) coaching, 6.00-7.30pm
Friday family night and open practice, 8.00-10.00pm
The club also has a free Open Day planned at Holy Trinity on Saturday 26th September, 2.00-5.00pm where all will be welcome to experience the Club's enhanced venue.
The Club's Head Coach, Steve Chambers, enthused, "Crawley Community has a reputation of being a friendly club serving players of all ages and abilities who want to play either competitively or just for fun. Table tennis also provides an opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills. It's also good for improving fitness no matter what your fitness starting point is Ð whilst super-fitness may be necessary for 2012 TT players there are plenty of examples of more modestly fit players being able to excel at grass-roots level!"
